About the Talk: Fierce Self-Compassion – The Power of “NO” In a world where people are constantly expected to do more—work more, be more available, adapt more—the ability to calmly and clearly say “NO” becomes a critical skill for mental health, balance, and long-term motivation. In this experiential session, Elif Altuğ introduces the concept of fierce self-compassion—a strong yet caring inner force that comes not from compliance, but from clear and healthy boundaries. Through practical exercises and guided reflection, participants explore the shift from the internal pattern of “I have to” to the conscious choice of “I choose.” This session helps participants: • recognize where and why they lose energy • learn to set healthy boundaries without guilt • develop inner clarity and emotional stability • protect their motivation from burnout • stay engaged without becoming overwhelmed Why This Talk Is Essential for Balance Conference Fierce self-compassion is not weakness — it is a mature form of strength. This talk lies at the very heart of Balance Conference, demonstrating that sustainable success is possible only when we know and respect our boundaries. Elif Altuğ brings a rare combination of: • medical precision • psychological depth • conscious movement • practical applicability in both professional and personal life Her message is clear: Motivation does not grow from constant giving, but from the ability to protect ourselves and choose consciously.
